HUHUA was founded in Georgia in 2024 by artist and designer Zaza Khukhua.
Originally trained as a painter, Khukhua approaches footwear design through the lens of art. For him, creating a shoe is not only a technical process but also a creative one — an exploration of form, color, balance, and emotion. Each design begins as an artistic idea and evolves into an object intended to be both expressive and wearable.
Born in Abkhazia, one of Georgia’s most distinctive regions, Khukhua draws inspiration from the landscapes and memories of his childhood. The Black Sea, intense sunlight, natural textures, and vibrant colors continue to influence his work and have become recurring elements within the visual language of HUHUA.
Through the brand, he seeks to create footwear that combines craftsmanship with artistic expression. Every pair is designed to highlight individuality, inspire confidence, and bring a sense of beauty into everyday life.
